COACH'S  LETTER

HELLO

My name is Tyler Triplett and I am a senior at Northside High School in Fort Smith, AR.  For the past three years I have been starting SG/PG for the Northside Grizzlies.  My desire is to get a scholarship and play college basketball and earn a Bachelor’s Degree. Currently our team is 10-4 in the highest classification in our state 7A. I’am 6’2 and weigh 195 lbs. I can dunk the basketball and take pride in my defense. So far we have played three tournaments Arlington Classic (consolation champions), Cedar Hill Tournament (runner-up), Coke Classic (Champions).  As a sophomore I averaged 5pts per game. As a junior 10pts per game, and currently averaging 5.3 per game.  I played summer basketball for the Arkansas Tigers Elite 2015 all my life.  We were a very competitive program that played in tournaments in all different parts of the United States.  On that team I primarily played PG.  I consider myself a leader on and off the court.  I have a desire to get a degree in Health/Physical Education and I take my academics very seriously.  I have maintained over a 3.2 GPA throughout my high school career.  I have taken the ACT two times and have a composite score of 24.  I want to be an example for younger children on and off the court.  My strengths on the court are basketball IQ I like to think of myself as a coach on the floor, driving to the basket, Mid-Range game is very good.  My weakness is lateral movement, but I have been working with a trainer to improve that, and its coming along very good.  I make 350 shots either before or after practice 4 days a week.  I would love the opportunity to be a part of your athletic program.  I would appreciate if you would examine my profile, watch my video highlights and consider me for a scholarship at your school.  Thank you for taking the time to read this, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
