COACH'S  LETTER

HELLO

My name is Shakari Jones & I'm from Fort Smith, Arkansas.  I am 6'2, weigh 180 pounds, and play PG for my high school team which is Fort Smith Northside High School.  Our school plays in the highest classification in our state, the 7A West, finished the regular season with a 21-9 record, and were beaten out of our State Tournament in the semifinal round. I am interested in your school basketball team and would like to earn a scholarship to play and eventually earn a college degree in the Athletics/Coaching field. I currently play AAU travel basketball with the Arkansas Tigers Elite.  I was named team captain and led the team on and off the court as a whole. Throughout this senior year, I have maintained a 3.6 GPA and have an ACT score of 20. I believe that academics come first, then sports, and understand that college basketball is a business on you and I's part. My strengths on the court are handling the ball, setting up plays for my teammates, and finishing strong at the rim. One of my weaknesses is shooting from behind the arc. This past year my jumper has ️shown great improvement and is only getting better as I put in extra time on it.
